Nuestra gran cantante de opera Montserrat Caballé canto varias canciones en ingles junto con Freddy Mercury como promoción para los juegos olimpicos que se celebraron en Barcelona en el 92.

Una de las mejores fue HOW CAN I GO ON. aunque ambos cantantes se dedicaron a tipos de música totalmente diferentes, ambos siempre dijeron admirarse mutuamente y es sabido que que Fredy Mercury en su famosa canción BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY, incluyo una parte de opera. Louis Armstrong (Nueva Orleans, 4 de agosto de 1901 – Nueva York, 6 de julio de 1971), también conocido como Satchmo y Pops, fue un trompetista y cantante estadounidense de jazz.
Se trata de una de las figuras más carismáticas e innovadoras de la historia del jazz y, probablemente, su músico más popular.

Gracias a sus habilidades musicales y a su brillante personalidad, transformó el jazz desde su condición inicial de música de baile con raíces folclóricas en una forma de arte popular.

Aunque en el arranque de su carrera cimentó su fama sobre todo como cornetista y trompetista, más adelante sería su condición de vocalista la que le consagraría como una figura internacionalmente reconocida y de enorme influencia para el canto jazzístico.

The Corrs es una banda irlandesa formada por cuatro hermanos, Sharon, Caroline, Andrea y Jim Corr, que practican una combinación entre la música tradicional irlandesa, el pop contemporáneo y el rock. José Montserrate Feliciano García (nacido el 10 de septiembre de 1945 en Lares, Puerto Rico) es un cantante de Boleros y Baladas, y un destacado intérprete de la guitarra española. Ciego de nacimiento, muy pronto se interesó por la música. Inició su carrera como músico del llamado Flamenco Pop. Pronto destacó y la RCA lo contrató.

Chicago es, junto con Blood, Sweat & Tears (BS&T), la banda más representativa de lo que se dio en llamar Jazz Rock. Se fundó en la ciudad de su mismo nombre, en 1967. El grupo permanece activo en la actualidad.

La banda estuvo integrada, inicialmente, por Lee Loughnane (trompeta), James Pankow (trombón), Walter Parazaider (saxos, flauta), Robert Lamm (voz, piano, órgano), Terry Kath (guitarra, voz), Peter Cetera (bajo, voz) y Danny Seraphine (batería, percusión). Al contrario que BS&T, Chicago mantuvo esta formación bastante estable, a lo largo de su historia.

El grupo se formó en el invierno de 1967, a partir del núcleo de la banda de Kath, Parazaider y Seraphine, que se llamaba The Missing Links, durante una jam session en la Universidad DePaul, cuando se les unieron en el escenario Pankow y Loughnane. El nuevo grupo se llamó The Big Thing, y se completó poco después con Cetera y Lam. Fue éste quien embarcó a la banda en una gira a Los Ángeles, donde, ya bajo el nombre de Chicago Transit Authority, cosecharon un inesperado éxito.

Peter Brian Gabriel, (n. 13 de febrero de 1950, Chobham, Inglaterra), es un músico inglés de rock. Se hizo conocido como miembro de la banda de rock progresivo Genesis. En la década de los 80 fue pionero en la fusión con todo tipo de músicas étnicas y no es extraño encontrar en sus temas percusiones de absoluta inspiración africana, y guiños a otras culturas. Sobresaliente en ello resulta su álbum Passion.

De hecho la figura de Peter Gabriel se encuentra estrechamente ligada a los festivales WOMAD, y su éxito con el álbum So le permitió fundar la discográfica Real World que ha permitido grabar discos y difundir su música a autores de todos los lugares de la tierra.
Más allá de tener la mera condición de músico, Peter Gabriel ha estado comprometido a lo largo de casi toda su carrera contra las injusticias y los problemas sociales más variados como tales como la pobreza y la discriminación en Sudáfrica, y su gran postura defensora de los Derechos Humanos, haciendo oír su voz a menudo en los foros internacionales.

Innovadora formación musical de estilo disco. Fue famosa tanto por sus peculiares disfraces, como por sus canciones pegadizas, con letras sugerentes y llenas de dobles sentidos. El grupo fue fundado en 1977 en Nueva York por dos músicos franceses: Jacques Morali y Henri Belolo. El grupo fue creado específicamente para promocionar e interpretar las creaciones de música disco de estos dos músicos y para atraer a la audiencia homosexual a través de los estereotipos más comunes a los que respondía este colectivo.

La canción Y.M.C.A., fue número uno en Inglaterra y número dos en Estados Unidos. Aun hoy en día, casi 30 años después de su lanzamiento, se puede ver el característico baile formando las letras una por una con los brazos en bodas, eventos y campamentos escolares. YMCA no estuvo exenta de controversia. Dado que la Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) es una asociación de carácter cristiano que se dedica a la ayuda y orientación de los jóvenes, se sintió afectada porque un grupo homosexual le dedicara una canción, lo que la llevó a demandar a Village People. Sin embargo, la demanda fue retirada sin dar mayores explicaciones.
