Esta compositora, cantante e interprete de teclados es la segunda estrella de la canción irlandesa (solo detrás de U2).Es famosa desde los años 80, aunque estuvo dedicada a la música desde que nació (bajo la dirección de sus padres).
Tiene un estilo musical muy especial (mezzo-soprano / new age), de raíces irlandesas (muchas canciones están cantadas en gaélico) y profundamente relajante.
Sigue activa en la actualidad, saca a la venta CDs de larga duración regularmente pero no hace conciertos. También se utilizaron canciones de Enya para películas famosas.
