Gravó un LP completo en castellano que fue un exito total.
Al principio solo tocaba el piano. No cantaba porque creia que no tenia voz de cantante.
Sin embargo cuando empezó a cantar se descubrió que tenia una voz muy melodiosa y todos sus buenos sentimientos se mostraban a traves de ella.
Tuvo que pasar por grandes dificultades debido al racismo. Es que era "muy negro". Pero era una gran persona. Falleció de cancer pulmonar porque fumaba mucho.
