Ella "la primera dama de la canción" falleció en 1996, pero dejo un recuerdo imborrable en la historia del jazz.

Tenia una voz increíble, comenzó a cantar con solo 16 años en 1934 y a través de su extensa carrera canto con las más famosas orquestas, músicos y cantantes, para terminar haciéndolo en solitario.
